The Morrisville Chamber of Commerce’s Knowledgeable Network of Women Series presents “Men in the Workplace – What are they really thinking?” on July 15, 2009.

Morrisville, NC (June 15, 2009) –The Knowledgeable Network of Women (KNOW) Series of the Morrisville Chamber of Commerce and presenting sponsor Costco are proud to present “Men in the Workplace – What are they really thinking?” on Wednesday, July 15. The event will feature an edgy panel discussion to find out what’s in the minds of men… and how to use that knowledge for your own personal and professional success.

What are the behaviors that drive perceptions? How do you fit into a male dominated environment without becoming one of the “guys”? What’s up with all the golf? How can you be assertive without being perceived as aggressive? Find out the answers to these and other questions you’ve always wanted to ask but never could… until now! A panel of senior-level business executives and other experts in the field will provide a behind-the-scenes look at the unique and rarely talked about differences between men and women in the workplace.

A sampling of the panelists:

Nicoa Dunne, managing partner of Raleigh-based consulting firm holland archer, brings 16 years of experience in global corporate communications and strategic human resources. Her career background includes eight years with General Electric, four years with Thermo Fisher Scientific, and most recently as the SVP of HR for Allscripts Healthcare Solutions where she provided key leadership in the transformation of Misys Healthcare, positioning the company and culture for growth and the ultimate merger with Allscripts — creating the NEW Allscripts (MDRX).

Martin Brossman is a certified business coach, specializing in career direction, communication, conflict resolution and relationships. Martin has more than 20 years of professional experience, including seven years with IBM and 13 years developing and operating small businesses. In 2000, he was honored with the NC Governor’s Volunteer of the Year Award for his contribution to Carolina Health & Humor Association. Martin is the founder of the Triangle Men’s Inquiry.

The luncheon will take place at Cambria Suites Raleigh-Durham Airport, 300 Airgate Drive, Morrisville from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The cost is $35 for Chamber members and $50 for non-members. Members may register online at http://www.MorrisvilleNC.com. Non-members should contact Adrienne Clark at (919) 463-7157 or aclark@morrisvillenc.com.
