Digital marketing trainers Karen Tiede and Martin Brossman presented a custom Social Media Marketing training module to the Chengdu Leaders Development group as part of a targeted training program designed by North Carolina State University.  
On November 18th, Brossman and Associates presented Social Media Marketing for Government and Business, a requested segment of the Chengdu Leaders Development Program, a 4-week training at NC State tailored for a delegation of government officers from the Chinese city of Chengdu.
Social Media training for China group by Martin Brossman and AssociatesThis international training program was organized by the Global Training Initiative (GTI) which is part of NC State’s Office of International Affairs, in conjunction with the NC State Executive Education division of the Poole College of Management.  Co-instructors Martin Brossman and Karen Tiede worked with NCSU coordinator Daniel McNeill, Associate Director of the GTI, with the assistance of GT Freeman, Executive Education Program Director, to define the event for the benefit of the enthusiastic group.

The 13 participants were especially interested in applications of social media for attracting U.S. business to the M area.  Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province in southwest China, with a population of over 14 million; it is an active business and convention center where more than 250 Fortune 500 companies have branches.

With social media now an integral part of the marketing landscape, the need for skilled social media managers is growing.
